There are 3 types of tiles Regular, Banner, and Relic. In this mode Double Cash, Hero Booster, all personal Powers and Insta-Monkeys are disabled throughout the event instead, power-ups can be acquired for teams to use. These teams can capture tiles to score points on team and individual leaderboards, both local and global. The gamemode consists of 6 teams of 15 players each, for up to 90 players per instance. These victory conditions include beating the map as fast as possible in the style of a race, completing 1 or 2 tiers of a boss as fast as possible, using less than a certain amount of cash, or using less than a certain amount of upgrade tiers.
In order to capture a tile, the players have to complete the map associated with it, while also setting a new record for one of the four victory conditions. It is unlocked at Level 30.Ĭontested Territory consists of teams of players competing for tiles on a large map. First announced on the official Version 30.0 patch notes, it is a returning event from Bloons Monkey City with a revamped gameplay, with the aim of utilizing teamwork to capture multiple tiles throughout a hexagonal island.
